Anyone wishing to pursue this entertaining hobby must have a basic understanding of the structure and rules of rummy. A set number of cards—typically seven or ten, depending on the variation being stts kingplayed—are dealt to each player at the start of the game. One card is dealt face-up to begin the discard pile, and the other cards form a draw pile.
