This part of the game calls for knowledge of probability and opponent behavior in addition to strategic thinking. A player who has multiple high-point cards in their hand and is on the verge of winnrummy winnering, for instance, may have to decide whether to play conservatively by holding onto their high-point cards and waiting for a chance to successfully meld them, or to take the chance of discarding a high-point card in the hopes of drawing a lower one. The player's evaluation of the game's general dynamics, their opponents' strategies, & their current hand will ultimately determine the outcome.
