The World Poker Tour World Championship final table got underway on Saturday afternoon, with six players vying for a massive $3.1 million top prize and the honor of having their names engraved on the prestigious Mike Sexton Cup.
The action, livestreamed on the WPT's YouTube channel, exploded right out of the gate with three all-ins in the first orbit, setting the stage for one of the most exciting FTs of the year.

Edward Pak entered the final day as the chip leader, closely followed by Chris Moorman, who impressively secured a seat at the final table for the second year in a row. Scott Stewart started in the middle of the pack, while Christian Roberts, Rob Sherwood, and Ryan Yu rounded out the lineup, each with their sights set on poker glory.
In one of the first hands of play, where the blinds were 400,000/800,000/800,000bba, Scott Stewart woke up with A♦A♥and made it 1,600,000 from the hijack. Christian Roberts looked down at A♠Q♠and made it 4,000,000 to go from the cutoff. Stewart four-bet jammed as the covering stack and Roberts called for his tournament life.

Roberts had a good chance to crack the aces after picking up a flush draw on the 6♠5♠2♣flop but failed to seal the checkmark following the 6♦turn or Q♦river. Roberts was awarded a $665,000 prize.
On the very next hand, Chris Moorman, with 8♦7♦, opened to 1,600,000 from the cutoff. Ryan Yu moved all in for 20,600,000 from the button after being dealt 9♥9♠. Edward Pak reshoved after he peeled A♣K♦, folding out Moorman.

Pak made two pair on the A♦K♠J♣flop and left Yu drawing dead after A♠came in on the turn. The inconsequential K♣completed the runout for Yu to depart in fifth for $875,000. The final four had all locked up $1,150,000 at this stage.
The action proved fast and furious as the next deal saw another all-in and call. Moorman opened to 1,600,000 from the cutoff with 6♦6♠. Rob Sherwood found a monster in Q♠Q♥and bumped the price of poker to 4,200,000. Moorman shipped in his chips and Sherwood put his tournament life on the line.
The Q♣10♥5♦flop left Moorman drawing to running quads as Sherwood made a set. A six did appear on the board, but it came on the river, rendering Moorman's three-of-a-kind obsolete.
