One well-liked card game that has its roots in India is Teen Patti, or Indian Poker. It's a tamed form of poker usually played with three to six players and a standard 52-ckitty glitter slotsard deck (no jokers). Having the best hand or successfully bluffing opponents is the aim. Three cards are dealt to each player, and the game is played with rounds of betting akin to poker. Teen Patti's hand rankings are as follows: trail (three of a kind), color (flush), pair, high card, pure sequence (straight flush), & sequence (straight).
