The Summer Sale promotion at 888poker was a massive success. All but two of the cut-price tournaments hit their guarantees. Sixteen tournaments had their buy-ins halved, enabling players to take a shot in a higher-stakes event or save some money playing in their favorite tournaments.
The $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event was one such tournament. Usually, this tournament costs $109 to enter, but this week's was available to play for only $55 thanks to the Summer Sale promotion. Some 1,991 players bought in, meaning there was a small overlay on the $100,000 guarantee, but attracting almost 2,000 runners is still a superb result.
Some big mystery bounty prizes were on offer, including six $1,000 amounts, two bounties worth $3,000, and the jackpot $10,000 mystery bounty. The latter found its way to the 888poker account of Brazilian "kelsen.lab" who fell in 133rd place but not before hitting the jackpot. The Brazilian's total haul weighed in at $10,852, almost $4,000 more than the eventual champion.

The massive 1,991-strong crowd was reduced to the final table of eight on Day 1. Those eight finalists returned to their seats on June 16, doing so with Nick Wealthall and David Tuchman running the popular 888poker Twitch channel.
It took only 90 minutes from the first cards being pitched to the champion being crowned, despite none of the players busting for the first 40 or so minutes. "WalnutPix" was the first casualty. They jammed for only 2.5 big blinds with king-jack from the button and lost to the dominating king-queen of "UncleJo1955," who called from the big blind.
That elimination lit the blue touch paper, and players began dropping like flies. "rulerr" of Ukraine crashed out in seventh, "Raferaaa" of Brazil in sixth, and Sweden's "teetanium" in fifth, the latter banking $1,965.
Fourth 888poker UKPL Stop of 2025 Sees the Tour Head to EdinburghCheck out the scheduleFourth place and $2,525 went to "AbhekeshB," who was all the way in Trinidad & Tobago. The tournament then progressed to the heads-up stage when "Ghizmo87" open-shoved for a shade under 18 big blinds with queen-jack of diamonds, and "Brainy14" called in the small blind with ace-king. "UncleJo1955" folded pocket nines in the big blind and would have won a huge pot because the board ran out ten-high.
"Brainy14" went into the heads-up battle with "UncleJo1955" holding a massive 89.7 big blind to 9.9 big blind chip advantage, and it didn't take long for the chip leader to wrap things up.
"UncleJo1955" managed one double up, but any dreams of an epic comeback ended when they moved all-in for 10 big blinds with eight-six of diamonds, and "Brainy14" called with pocket threes. None of the five community cards came to "uncleJo1955"'s rescue, and they busted in second place for $5,331, leaving "Brainy14" to collect $6,949 for their $55 investment.
